My new knitting inspiration - Sis!

I was thinking of ways to remotivate myself without spending lots of money on yarn (although obviously that's what I actually want to do), and remembered my lovely pink Rowan Big Wool. I bought it on sale and finally decided to make Sis from Big Just Got Bigger....and suddenly I just felt like knitting again! So I started just now. It has lovely flowery crochet borders, and I love crochet too at the moment, so it's ALL GOOD!
Here's the beginnings of sis (I started with a sleeve):
And here's a close-up of the lovely little flowers (actually they're quite big! After making Rosa I forgot how quick other yarns can be to work with!):
I got a new phone as an upgrade on my contract and decided that it's too fancy for me (I just like it to make calls, a camera is not at all necessary when I have a perfectly good digital camera), so I'm selling it on ebay.....if I get lots of money for it then I can buy more yarn to keep myself motivated - fingers crossed for me!

I'm always so inspired by the projects you do. You knit, you crochet, you bead...and you do it all so well. And you're cute, to boot :-)

Yay for Big Wool! Somehow I knew it probably wouldn't take long for you to get inspired again. Can't wait to see the finished product - the edging looks very cool.

Well, you're going from 4 ply yarn to super bulky I guess that will seem like a big difference! I really wish I could crochet, I love that pattern and the pink you have is gorgeous.. Glad you found your groove again!

Now, Big Wool is big. I can imagine the huge honking crochet needle you're using... Lovely flowers. I have the book, I just need to pick a project and buy the yarn. Can't wait to see Sis all finished up!

Hey Jen, take care with your ebay mobile phone sale - there are a lot of scam buyers operating in that category. Watch out for: no feedback / newly registered people who have bid on loads of other phones or other high value items in the past couple of days! Don't accept any payments that are for more than the amount due and ask you to send the balance to someone else (money laundering, or just plain old theft if you're lucky lol) Good luck, Kay.
