My Kim Hargreaves hat kit arrived! I ordered this hat as I said one or two entries ago. It came all prettily packaged in a paper box, wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon, so full marks for presentation! Since it's a chunky hat, I thought I might as well start right away since it won't take too long. I'm over half way done already:
I'm just making it in the same shade as the hat shown in the photos (this is the pattern card that came with it):
These days I just seem to make things in the exact same colour the pattern is modelled in! If it attracts me it's the colour and everything so I want it just as it is.....sometimes it's really nice not to have to think about numbers and the fit and all that jazz.
Speaking of designing, I have nearly finished the pink silk bag, so I'm about to start on the next thing - my Dad's organic wool jumper - looking forward to seeing how the wool knits up :)

oooh, my kim hargreaves order came yesterday! the box and pattern are gorgeous aren't they? I agree that her presentation is beautiful..

I also bought one of these babies because of your post. I went for 'swizzle' to match a scarf I made, and I was blown away by the presentation. It almost justifies spending £17 on a hat! ;)
