Christmas crafts - and new hair!

December 04, 2005

In between working for exams for work, there has been a bit of the old craftiness around here :)
Every year Adam's lab has a Christmas party, and they all have to make fancy hats. Adam may be the lovliest man who ever lived, but he does not have a crafty bone in his body, so I have to secretly make the hats (god I love it)! Last year we/I made a wizard hat, with glittery stars and moons and little molecules from Adam's experiment all over it, that one was pretty cool. This year I made a crown! It was going to be a christmas tree hat, but in the art shop we found some stick on gems and changed to a crown. It is very big and has King written on the front for added importance!

Hooray!

Also, I had my long hair cut off, not crafty I know but very important to me and it's my blog so there :)
It's still long I guess, but about 6 inches came off! It was in slightly crappy condition, now it's so silky and smooth!

Back with more knitting soon!

It's so grown-up! Even if you know you want a haircut, it is still a very emotional transition. I always end up crying and laughing at the same time, I look mad!

I loved your long hair, but the new hair is still long and beautiful.

I love the new look. Very grown up and smooth.

Cute hair! Change is always good. I recently cut off 10" of mine too.

You look fabulous, and so does the hat

I love the haircut! ^_^ The length is lovely - it seems to have a nice swing to it. I've been considering a cut myself, so I may have one to show off soon. It can be hard to part with long hair, but part of the fun of growing it is that you can cut it into anything you want on a whim.

Also, what a cute crown! That sounds like one fun party.

I love your hair! It's classy and suits you perfectly.

P.S. Your guy is a riot with that crown. Hee hee!

Hiya, just catching up on my reading. Love your new hairdo, it looks so glossy. Hope your exams went okay these past few days.
