Things I am loving/not loving about the shorts

Things I am loving about the shorts I am making for Adam:

1. Sewing is super quick compared to knitting.

2. I am trying to do a really neat job and am loving the attention to detail.

3. The patch pockets I added to the back:

Things I am not loving:

1. I ran out of thread and can't get any more until the weekend.

Hooray for sewing, it's so much quicker than knitting, sometimes I wonder why it isn't my main hobby.....I doubt it ever will be though!

those are looking really great! i cant wait to see them done. I love all your sewn items and your knit ones. i think you keep a good balance of both going on!! i wish i could sew more but i get very easily discouraged because i am not so good at it!

Those shorts look great! I also love to sew and also marvel every time I do it that it's so much quicker than knitting... so why don't we do it more? Well, I think sewing is more of a production than knitting - I have to set up my machine and all the paraphernalia so when I do it I like to have a block of time where I can finish up projects... otherwise my dining room is cluttered with stuff. Knitting, however, is portable and can be easily picked up and put down again. I dream of someday having a sewing room!

Knitting will always be my first love, but sometimes you just need and quick n' dirty project...and sewing is great for that. The shorts look great!
