I've gone pink! Plus yummy food...
March 18, 2006
Fed up of boring grey, it's time for pink! Now if only the weather would stop being boring and grey...although I don't want it to be pink, that would be odd.
I'm afraid I'm still slaving away (except it's fun, so it's not so bad!) at my super secret project. Just so you know why I can't show it, it's going to be in a BOOK! This is very exciting for me OF COURSE, so exciting it needs lots of caps :)
But it does mean I'm pretty much dedicated to the one project and so I don't really have anything to show. But just to show I am doing something other than knitting a jumper, have a look at the amazing dinner we made t'other day:

It's black rice salad! I'd never seen black rice before so we went on the manufacturers website to find a recipe. We kind of followed this recipe, but for veg used red pepper, yellow pepper and chesnut mushrooms, also lime juice instead of lemon, and goats cheese instead of feta. It looks pretty similar though! It was REALLY good.
Right, back to the jumper!

Hi Jen, I've been reading your blog for a long time now, but have been a little shy about commenting. Today I just have to come out and say a big congratulations to you on getting published! You so very much deserve it - your patterns are always wonderful and innovative, and your writing upbeat and REAL. Also, I love your new pink look and will definitely have to try out this recipe - thanks for posting it!
