New shirt, and trousers, and fabric!
March 05, 2006
Today I pulled out my fabric stash to organise it, and find room for some totally unnecessary new arrivals, and I found a shirt that has been languishing there, unfinished, for about 6 months! I finished it in about an hour!! Ridiculous.
Here is ths shirt:

I thought it might look nice with some trousers I made also about 6 months ago and then just kind of forgot to wear (I suppose at least I'm being honest about my lameness!).
Here are the trousers!
Hopefully I'll wear both now! They'll be handy at work. I have a fair bit of fabric at the moment, I keep justifying buying more because it would be quick to use it all up if I ever got round to it.
I still have everything I showed in this post, except item 7, and item 10!
In addition I also now have this (for a top):

And this (for a jacket - it's more grey in real life):

And also (!) black fabric for trousers that didn't photograph very well! I'd better get busy :)

This is so inspiring! A coworker gave me a really nice antique Singer and I'm totally intimidated by it. I have been meaning to get over it, and these projects of yours are helpful. Nice job =)

I'm so proud of you for making what I =would call "proper" things like trousers and shirts. They look gorgeous! Missed you at the weekend but hope we can meet up soon. x

Wow! I don't remember you ever writing about sewing classes, and yet you keep churning out these brilliant items. Did you teach yourself? I love both the shirt and the trousers and I only wish I could muster the courage to try sewing something other than bags! Great work!

You are brilliant, I can't believe how professional and smart your trousers look. Not in a million years would I have thought that they had been hand made.
Really... I'm speechless...
