Scarftastic!
April 02, 2006
I have been tinkering with the second secret project - first I thought some colours would go together that really didn't (fool) so I had to start again, and now it's moving along just fine. In the meantime, I went to London this weekend for Adam's brother's engagement party (it was lots of fun!), so on the train there and back I worked on my scarf. It's zooming along! I thought I would take a progress pic, and just to add some sense of scale try and have myself in it, even though there was no one to take photos of me.
Here is my first attempt:

Haha, only slightly out of focus then! I know, I'll try one at arms length instead:

As you can see that one really shows how much progress I've made. I guess I'll stick to the old favourite laying it on the floor one!

It's even longer now too! Nearly done :) It's nice to have something to show even though I'm totally prioritising another project!

You always choose the prettiest colors for your knits. I wanna knit those colors, too!
P.S. I find the shots you took of yourself to be quite artsy. I like!

That's a great colour for the scarf and I'm sure it looks even better in person. Giotto can be a real pain to wind but it is so pretty.
Thanks for the comment about the bunny. I'm glad you like it! And I'm trying to improve my photos and blogging technique with the machine knitting so thanks for the encouragement.

It looks great! It should be a perfect spring scarf, not too warm. I'm waiting, waiting for spring here in Minnesota. Sounds like you are too.
