Here comes the Caterpillar!

That's right! It's a finished caterpillar! As soon as it was all sewn up and stuffed, I knew it was the right decision to make a caterpillar in the first place. It's been sitting with us while we watch films, and generally keeping us company and being cute. I need to make more stuffed toys! I know I'm biased, but I'm really fond of my new toy!

It is my own pattern, which will get shared sometime but not just yet. I am going to make another knitted toy next, but one of Debbie Bliss's this time not my own, it's going to be a bunny for Adam's cousin's baby, which is due any day but not born yet!

A. We got Big Wool Tuft as a closeout yarn at Webs today and I thought "whoo-hoo, now I can make a Nimbus!"
B. I agree that adults should make and enjoy knitted toys. They're so much fun! I love Mr. Cat E. Pillar.

I like your site. Reading it always makes me want to: 1) update my own web site, which I have not done in an embarrassingly long time and 2) view my knitting as enjoyable again, instead of as a rote, stash-busting exercise :-).

Jen, I LOVE your new pet! I have never considered caterpillars "cute" before, but Mr. Pillar is gorgeous! How could you not want to cuddle him?
I'm looking fordward to the pattern so I can have one, or two, of my very own!
Maybe you could make him a girlfriend, with red lips and long eyelashes - I almost fell off the settee laughing at the idea!!
