Back - finally!

I am back from France! It was a pretty good trip this year, so many things went wrong last year that I was dreading it, but this time it was actually pretty good fun (OBVIOUSLY not while we were working, the language barrier made that bloody hard work - "je voudrais un aged debtors analysis s'il vous plait" - blank stares all round!). It was too long away though and I'm very happy to be back.
Although I am SO deeply tempted to put photos of my drunk colleagues on my website, I haven't asked them if it's ok yet, so here instead are a few photos of other things.
Since the French don't really understand or cater for vegetarians, I mostly ate pizza or salad for 2 weeks:
I was very pleased to have a risotto last night! At the weekend we went to Mont St Michel, which was definitely a worthwhile trip:

We also did eat a lot of galettes. Once again I felt like I would like to see the place in the summer, when all the restaurants are open and the town is buzzing.
When we were there I got my exams results and found out I had passed both my exams, so I am now a part-qualified chartered accountant, which is most pleasing!
In other exciting news (it has been an exciting weekend), I ordered some new glasses (it's definitely time to get some pretty ones I can wear all the time), I found out my submission for the Spring Knitty was excepted (Oh yeah!) and also Adam and I booked a 3 week trip to China for May/June time! I'll show off some knitting next time - I didn't do any while I was away, but I did some before I left that you haven't seen. And now it's lunch time!

Hi Jen, great pictures - I went to Mont St Michel with my parents once, it's really amazing!

Congrats on the Knitty submission (they don't seem to like my patterns so I have given up on them!) And I'm glad that I'm not the only vegetarian who had a hard time eating in France! Glad you're back...missed your blogging!

Wow! Congratulations on passing those exams, what an accomplishment! Also on getting a pattern into Knitty. I can't wait to see it.
Sounds like you managed to eke out some fun in France, and though I'm sure one could get sick of pizza, that example in the photo looks divine.
