A finished crocheted mini cape!

March 25, 2007

This week I haven't had a chance to knit at all - I've been working a long drive away from home, and had to do study in the evenings, which is totally rubbish. But! Luckily about 2 weeks ago I finished my Cold Shoulders cape, and this evening I finally darned in the ends, and so now you can see the finished item!

Click to see more! This pattern came from the Happy Hooker book, by Debbie Stoller, and was very quick and easy. It would have been even quicker and easier but my tension was a mile out and I had to do a ton of extra rows to make it long enough. It's still pretty mini, but that's the way I like it (uh-huh uh-huh). Now I'm going to try and finish the Sublime sweater, and get those colinette scarves knitted up!

Lovely!! I had a hard time envisioning what it would look like when you showed it before but it came out really great! I think it is a perfect size for you!

The cape is cute! So are all of the other things you have been making lately (except the food, that looks yummy!)

Very cute indeed! And the colour is great. I wish I could crochet, but knitting just seems so much easier...

Your Cold Shoulders is just precious! I love the colour and the yarn just looks like it's so soft and cuddly. I love almost every pattern in the Happy Hooker book, I'm just finishing up one big project but as soon as that's over I'm definitely going to get started on one of the cute purses in the Happy Hooker. -- I read your blog all the time, I think it's great. Your food pictures make me happy. I'm always trying out new recipes and watching all the great cooking shows (Nigella anyone?). You've inspired me.. I think I'll have to start posting some of my culinary creations on my blog too :)

Have a super weekend,
Colleen

I've been reading your blog for awhile now, and I must say I absolutely love it! Never commented before, but I'm a crocheter and your knitting is just gorgeous. Far more beautiful than anything I've crocheted!! I really admire your gusto for crafty stuff, keep it up, your blog is an excellent way for me to procrastinate!
