Lovely soft blanket
June 18, 2007
Here's the first finished project as a result of my finishing efforts - expect more soon! It's my blanket, knitted from 5 balls of 5 different Artfibers yarns. I had intended to sew a fabric edging on this blanket, but in the end decided it would suit the blanket better (and be easier) to use the tiny bit of yarn I had left (Artfibers Whisper) to tie on a little fringe. I like it lots, I think it goes well with the whole look of the blanket.
I really want to try more Artfibers yarns now, they are so gorgeous in both colour and texture. I will definitely be visiting the shop again if I'm ever in San Francisco! Although you can also shop online....
Click on the photo to see and read more! Other finished projects coming up soon include the Sublime sweater (finally!) and an extremely fluffy scarf.

Wow, the blanket looks so good with the fringe - you're right, it's the perfect solution. And a perfect way to use up all the extra yarn!

That came out really well! It looks really warm and cosy and cushy :) What did it end up measuring?

Gorgeous and snuggly! I don't even want to think about how long that took you to knit...
