I am totally zooming ahead on my secret project with Carolyn - I'm leaving her was behind in the distance!!  OK, that's only because I knitted on it solidly for 5 1/2 weeks while I was on holiday.  Ages ago I showed a picture of the yarn and beads I was going to use, but I changed the beads, so here is a little new picture, that shows the yarn and beads in a super close-up, but no clues (I hope!) as to what design it is:

That is Rowan's 4-ply cotton, so that gives you a clue as to how much of a close-up it is!  (I have a macro setting on my camera).  And those are seed beads - they look ginormous!

That's what I'm working on now, as well as finishing off my re-knit legwarmers.

Thanks for any help on MT - but I still want help (see the entry below) - any help very much appreciated.

The Magknits project has been finished and sent off, and everything else I'm knitting is still summer stuff.  I could be very good and finish them all off before I start something new, but that won't happen!  I need a new Winter project!  I was thinking of a compromise where I get to start a new project, but use up stash yarn.  I have the yarn to make Birch - here it is - so I might start that soon, or maybe something else altogether.....I'm still thinking.

But if I do make Birch will I need all of the 3 balls?  Please if there is anyone out there who made a Birch last year and can remember how much yarn it took can you let me know?  Thanks!  I have 3 balls, I just want to use some of the yarn for something else.

I've started back at university for my last year, but this year is different (no exams!) so maybe more knitting.  I hope so anyway   :)

I also want to redesign my site!  I want to try and install MT (which I think most people use), but if I do, can I make it look all pretty using Dreamweaver?  Anyone know?  Also will I die trying to install the damn thing?!  So many questions!  Thanks in advance if anyone knows  :)

OK that was quite clearly a false start!  I really am back now.  Sorry about that!

I've been knitting quite a bit - mostly on my Magknits project, which is now finished, I just need to tweak the pattern a little.  That will be in the September newsletter (at the end of this month!), so be sure to look out for it!

Ooooh and speaking of Magknits, I have put my Kidsilk project in the finished projects gallery now - click here to have a look.

So now what's going on?  I got seriously lucky and now have an extra ball so I can finish my secret project with Carolyn - such a relief.  I got the ball from John Lewis - they were amazing - they went to look in their stock room to see if they had the right dye-lot, and then they posted it to me, so the secret project is saved!  I am about 2/3 of the way through.

I'm also making something for my mum - pictures soon I hope.  OK now I really am going to catch up on everyone's blogs!
