Artfibers Blanket
I made this blanket out ofArtfibers of yarn that I bought while I was in San Francisco in September 2006. I wanted to try all their lovely yarns, but didn't have much cash or bag space, so decided to get 1 ball each of 5 different yarns, and make a blanket. I got Basque, Whisper, Kyoto, Gypsy and Mammoth. They are all lovely! By the way, Artfibers website is here. I made the blanket by casting on 60 sts and changing yarns whenever I felt like it. Because the yarns were all different weights, the edge of the blanket turned out wavy, and after a lot of thought I decided not to sew on an edging or anything, but use the remaining yarn to make a scrappy fringe. I like the way it turned out, it's very casual but I think it goes well with the style of the blanket, if that makes sense!
