California - September 2006
Here's a small selection of photos from my holiday with Adam to North California in September 2006. We both took hundreds, but these are just to give a flavour!
We flew to San Francisco and had a few nice days there - here's the Golden Gate bridge half shrouded in mist:

Next we hired a car for a while, and firstly drove to Somoma and Russian River wine valleys - that certainly was fun, although we only stayed a day, visiting 4 wineries, because we couldn't afford any more wine!

Next we drove to Yosemite, which was totally amazing. We did some spectacular walks, and saw some of the most beautiful scenery we've ever come across:

This was a view from Glacier Point:

We also drove up to Tuolumne Meadows, which was breathtakingly beautiful, and also breathtaking in general due to the altitude. We did a walk which wasn't supposed to be too hard but made us both exhausted and dizzy!

After Yosemite we drove to Monterey and went to the incredible aquarium:

We also drove around the coast for a while, and saw cute seals sitting on the rocks (they're not in this picture, so don't squint too hard!). The coast was beautiful, really wild with gnarly white trees and spooky swirling mist:

We did a hell of a lot other than this, but these were just some of my favourite photos :)
