Elspeth
Here's Elspeth, from Rowan magazine 37! I made the smallest size, and only needed 3 balls instead of the 4 it said I would need. I didn't exactly have problems with the pattern, but it was a little difficult to interpret at times....you can read all my posts on Elspeth, which have all the tips and comments I made on the pattern, along with progress photos, here. I was a little disappointed when I'd finished, because it's a size too big! Don't ask me if my gauge was correct, because I have no idea. I was making another project in calmer at the same time, and I just used the same needles I was using for that. It looks fine, but it sits better on my mum, who is one size bigger than me. Luckily I still love it anyway - I think it's a really pretty cardi, even if it isn't perfect :)
