Funky Chunky Bag
The pattern for this bag is in Rowan 35. I liked it straight away but thought the one in the magazine was a bit too bright. My favourite colours at the moment are pink, purple and grey so that seemed the way to go!
Here's a list of the yarns and colours I used:
Rowan Cotton Tape in Fever,
Rowan Cotton Glace in Mystic,
Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Misty and Heart,
Rowan Handknit DK Cotton in Decadent,
Rowan Summer Tweed in Brilliant and Denim.
I used less than half the quantity specified in the pattern, and I really can't see how you could use much more. I lined the bag with some stripy Rowan fabric as well. The finishing took about the same amount of time as the knitting! It's very quick to knit.
