Roxie's Fur Trim

My Roxie jacket has a fur trim, which is made by doing a loopy stitch as a border, and then snipping the loops and gently brushing the area afterwards to get a furry effect. I had never done anything like this before so I thought it was worth an extra mention :)

Using a cuff as an example, firstly here are the loops:

Here is the cuff directly after I snipped the loops. The ends were all quite blunt and not very furry:

Then I brushed the cuff - I just used my hairbrush and brushed the ends down towards the end of the sleeve, which softened up the trim a lot:

Finally, here's how the fur looks now - in the day after I first snipped the loops it became furrier, until it looked pretty much like the jacket in the magazine, but it hasn't changed since and hopefully won't!
