Tapestry Cardigan

This is a cardigan I designed using Rowan Tapestry. As soon I saw the yarn I wanted to make something from it! It is soft and sheeny, the fibre content sounded ace (it has soy bean protein in it!), and I'd never (apart from socks) used a self striping yarn before. There are lots of nice designs for the yarn in Rowan magazines, but I wanted to do one of my very own. My favourite bit is the edgings, which are knitted separately and sewn on so the stripes go in a different direction. To read all my posts on this cardi, click here. Onto the photos!

Here's one from the front:

A side view (and the only one where my hair isn't in the way of the neck!):

A view of the back - I did shaping as darts rather than at the edge of the pieces:

A close up of the buttons and edging:

Proud and happy with new cardigan!
